Ambulance 9-1 and Rescue Engine 9 responded to a pedestrian struck this morning at approximately 0430 hours. The incident occurred on Rixeyville Road near Deerfield Lane. A helicopter was requested but was later cancelled and the patient was transported to Fauquier Hospital.
