At 04:14 Hours Little Fork’s Technical Large Animal Rescue Team was dispatched for a horse that was “cast”. The 31 year old was also stuck between the door and wall of the stable. Upon arrival and a brief size up we requested the Warrenton VFC to respond with manpower, the Fauquier Animal Control and our team Vet; Tena Boyd Corbin. After the vet’s arrival the horse was sedated and we initiated our extrication plan. We were working in tight quarters but managed to move the animal into the middle of the stall. We are happy to report that the horse was out walking around while we stowed our equipment to return home. Thanks to all of the other agencies that assisted for a successful operation. Total time on scene was about two hours.
